Honored to Be Named Mt. Juliet’s Best Photographer | 2025 Main Street Award Winner

It still doesn’t feel quite real—but I’m thrilled (and a little speechless) to share that I was named Mt. Juliet’s Best Photographer in the 2025 Main Street Awards!

This is such an incredible honor, especially considering the number of talented photographers in our area. Over 25 local photographers were nominated this year, and I was truly stunned to be one of the three finalists—let alone the winner. It’s one of those full-circle moments that will always make me smile.

A Dream That Started with a Simple Goal

A couple of years ago, I remember telling my husband that it was my dream to become Mt. Juliet’s go-to family photographer. At the time, I was still trying to grow my business and figuring out how to build something meaningful—not just for me, but for the families I serve. I had photographed families all over the greater Nashville area, but I knew I wanted to focus more intentionally right here, in my own community.

Since then, I’ve put my heart into capturing the real, beautiful, joy-filled moments of families in Mt. Juliet, Lebanon, Hermitage, Old Hickory, and Murfreesboro—and these last few years have been the most rewarding yet.

To be recognized by the Main Street Media of Tennessee and voted for by my own neighbors and clients is honestly the greatest compliment I could ask for. Thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting me, cheering me on, and trusting me with your most meaningful memories.

About the Main Street Awards

If you’re not familiar with the Main Street Awards, they’re hosted annually by Main Street Media, and they recognize local businesses, professionals, and community leaders across categories like Retail, Services, Community, and Flavor (hello, favorite local restaurants!). Finalists are nominated by readers and then selected through a public voting process—making it a true reflection of local support and trust.

In the Services category, I was named a finalist in the Photography group alongside so many talented peers. I was genuinely shocked when I heard my name announced as the winner and I had a quiet moment reflecting on the last few years.

What This Means to Me

Being named Best Photographer in Mt. Juliet means so much more than a title. It’s a reflection of the families I’ve worked with who have invited me into their stories—whether we’re celebrating a new baby, a senior year, a wild toddler season, or simply preserving the beauty of their everyday life. It means the world to be a small part of that.

I’ve always believed that photography is about more than pretty pictures. It’s about connection, presence, and legacy. It’s about capturing what’s real—messy hair, wild giggles, sweet hugs, the way your little one reaches for your hand. Those are the moments I want you to remember. That’s the magic I want you to keep.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To every family who has booked a session, shared a kind word, referred a friend, or left a Google review—this award is because of you. You are the reason I get to do this work that fills my heart, and I’m so grateful for the trust you place in me with your memories.

And to Main Street Media and the readers who nominated and voted—thank you for shining a light on local businesses like mine. These kinds of awards make a big difference for us, and I’m truly honored.
